Leonard Brody, keynote speaker at the CCBC / Canadians Abroad 'All Canadian Alumni Event', Oct. 23, 2010, Los Angeles, CA

Leonard Brody, Canadian technology entrepreneur, business advisor and author was the keynote speaker at the All Canadian Alumni Event held in October 2010 at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA.

Mr. Brody has helped in raising millions of dollars for startup companies, been through one of the largest internet IPOs in history and has been involved in the building, financing and/or sale of five companies to date.

The charity golf tournament raised money for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation and honoured board member Andrew Trevitt, who was injured in a motorcycle accident while on the job. Canadian & American celebrities Alan Thicke, Bruce Jenner, Luc Robitaille and George Stroumboulopoulos participated in the tournament. Other celebrity attendees included Jian Ghomeshi, Andy Stochansky, Asha Blake, Carlo Rota and the Canadian Consul General in LA, David Fransen.

With celebrity enthusiasts of green power such as Peter Fonda and Ed Begley Jr. , the CCBC and Consulate General of Canada reception marked a historic event -- the X0FI had driven over 12,500 miles using only sunshine as fuel. It was never plugged into the grid and crossed the continental divide 8 times, travelled over 1200 miles on gravel roads, taken on snow, ice, the low angle of the Northern hemisphere during the wettest summer of the past 30 years, and conquered the infamous Dempster Highway at its worst since it was built 40 years ago. The X0FI made history!
